kombucha and mock fudge

I went to a small health food store the other day and came across two new kombucha brands. One was by High Country and it was Goji Berry flavor, and the other was by a brand called The Bu, which offered three flavors: melon, tropical, and lavender . . . guess which one i tried? Of course lavender, you remember my crazy addiction to those purple buds.
I really enjoyed both products, however The Bu, Lavender kombucha was my absolute favorite, it was bubbly tasted mildly of beer, and it wasn't overpoweringly lavender flavored, so you didn't finish the bottle feeling like you just ate a bar of soap. Rather, later on that day i felt very peaceful and relaxed, which is what lavender is well known for doing. I am going back for another very soon.

Honey doesn't really freeze, so when you melt the appropriate amount of it into a chocolate bar it creates this delicious chewy texture, just like fudge.

Mock Fudge Bar
4 tablespoons melted chocolate( i used a 50% cocoa chocolate bar)
2 teaspoons oil
1 tablespoon raw honey
dried goji berries
raisins or dried currents
sea salt

In the (still warm) bowl you used to melt the chocolate, stir in the oil and honey. Then add in the goji berries and currents. Pour the mixture into a flexible mold of your choice, sprinkle with salt and more goji berries if you want, and allow to set int he freezer until firm.

You can decide weather you want this to be more of a fudge or a chunky bar. Fudge: add less dried fruit, Chunky Bar: more dried fruit, and maybe even chopped nuts(tarmai roasted almonds, peanuts, sesame seeds. . . etc.).

Lavender kombucha?! Almost sounds too good to be true :) I'm sure it must have been lovely. I tried the High Country kombucha when I was over in the states...took the root beer flavor though and it was so so :/

I agree. High country was just alright. But The Bu was amazing, i actually just got another today. Might go as far as to say that GT may have some competition. Never thought i would say that :-)

let's see, there's: melon(which sounds gross to me), tropical, and tangerine(which oddly the store near me doesn't carry).
